In these new types of magnets, a part of the magnetic moment usually comes from p electrons and is delocalized at some molecular entity.Bis-1,2-dithiolene complexes of transition metals have been widely studied due to novel properties and application in the areas of conducting and magnetic materials, dyes, non-linear optics, catalysis and others. These applications arise due to a combination of functional properties, specific geometries and intermolecular interactions. Over the last decade, a large number of new dithiolene ligands and resultant complexes have been prepared in the desire to vary and optimise the molecular properties in an effort to prepare novel and improved materials. This interest, fired by the discovery of phenomena such as superconductivity and ferromagnetism in metal dithiolene salts, has resulted in the search for new analogues with better properties. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolene, Charge transfer complex, Synthesis, Crystal Structure, Electrochemical property | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
