THz technologies have been widely used in the military, industrial and medical care. Therefor, stable and reliable THz pumping source has attracted many researchers' interest. By using LD end-pumped of all-solid-state lasers to generate,terahertz is one of the research direction.In this paper, we have studied the self-Raman laser, active and passive mode-locking lasers. The main contents are summarized as follows:Through analysis of three kinds of solid-state lasers. Based on the theory of ABCD,which uses the MATLAB to calculate the range of stable region of resonator and simulate clamping resonant cavity stability of the range and simulated the cavity of the beam propagation.We have designed three kinds of solid-state lasers:Step I, In the self-stimulated Raman lasers, using Cr:YAG Q-switch, a-cut Nd:YVO4and LBO crystal, which has found the588nm yellow laser output. In the passive mode-locking technology, using Semiconductor Saturable Absorber Mirror (SESAM) gains a stable continuous mode-locked pulses in1.06μm. The repetition rate is137MHz and the thermal lens effect does not appear when the pump power is under the limit of30W. In the active mode-locking technology, using TSGSU-1/Q made by CETC designs to build up the light path. At last, we summarize and make an outlook to the LD end-pumped solid-state lasers as terahertz pumping source.
