It is more and more important for the image acquisition and processing technology in some special industry at present, such as monitoring and equipment testing. It is widely used in various fields for it is intuitive, accurate, convenient, real-time and contains rich contents.Today the existing image processing systems commonly use the CIF-D1 resolution, which is not enough clear. With the rapid development of network, computer and chip technology, the image acquisition and processing technology makes great progress. High definition and intelligence gradually become the developing trend of the image acquisition and processing system. They will become important indicators to measure the quality of the system. This thesis studies the HD image acquisition, sending and processing, displaying and controlling in the background of the video surveillance.With the promotion of network bandwidth and the development of image compression technology, it is possible to use the network to transfer high-definition image signal. The front acquisition module uses CMOS sensor components to capture signals, and compresses the image by the H.264 codec hard chip based on SoC architecture. Finally, these signals are transferred through the Ethernet port.In the middle part, the S6410 processor based on the ARM 11 architecture is treated as the nuclear design in the Comprehensive information collector. The main function of this S6410 processor is to collect, store and transfer kinds of information. This thesis focuses on receiving, sending and processing of the video. Comprehensive information collector transplants the Bootloader, Linux kernel, file system and network port driver. The HD image signal is transmitted in Linux operating system.Finally, the software development combines the console application with the front acquisition module of SDK, which includes the preview module, the playback and download module, the parameter configuration module, the remote equipment maintenance module, the voice intercom forwarding module, the alarm modules, the transparent channels and PTZ control module. The display section mainly uses the off_screen of the DirectShow technology.This thesis studies the key technologies of the HD image acquisition and processing and designs a high-resolution remote video monitoring system.
