The Surface Plasmon Resonance is an new emerging biochemistry testing technology which characterizes in the real-time monitoring and unnecessariness of marking the samples. The SPR can analyze properties of a substance by monitoring the change of refractive index of a substance on its the metal surface. The SPR sensors have been becoming a new focus of study gradually. At present, the increase of the sensitivity of SPR sensors has been an essential area on these researches. Based on the research of SPR sensor chip of the grating couple, this paper casts the light mainly on the way of how to increase the SPR resonance formant by changing the construction of the metal grating.This paper studied the SPR sensor of gold grating based on the theorems of the SPR and the theories of Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis (RCWA). According to the computer simulating and the theories of RCWA, reflectivity of the one-dimensional rectangular gold grating and sine gold grating were calculated by simulating about different configuration parameters of the gratings in which infrared light incidence. Moreover, the SPR resonance spectrums of the two kinds of gratings were also obtained about different configuration parameters of the gratings. And thirdly, it will present the analyzed influences on the SPR by different configuration parameters of the gratings. This paper chronologically analyzed the influences on the SPR in terms of the groove depth, duty ratio and the thickness of base metal about the rectangular grating. It also focused the influences on the SPR by the amplitude and the thickness of base metal of the gold sine grating. And accordingly we obtained the finest configuration parameters of the gratings of the best SPR resonance depth.There are various kinds of gratings shapes except for the familiar rectangular gratings and sine gratings. First of all, this paper will discuss methods of how to find the finer gratings shapes in order to obtain the larger SPR resonance depth. Secondly, the paper provides a brand new way to obtain the larger SPR resonance depth for optimizing the function of gratings shape. This new way of constructing a function of gratings shape spreaded out and analyzed the basic function of gratings shape, and then reconstructed it. Finally, the paper has constructed a function of gratings shape successfully in terms of this new way.
