Coverage ensures the comprehensive information collection of monitoring area and reflects the perception quality of service, which is a basic problem in wireless multimedia sensor networks.Traditional coverage problem of wireless multimedia sensor network is based on the two dimensional environment. With the development and application of wireless multimedia sensor networks, three dimensional coverage model and coverage control algorithm are put forward, which help information monitoring and improve the perceived service in three dimension wireless multimedia sensor networks.Based on the existing 2d coverage-enhancing algorithm for wireless sensor network, a three-dimension perception model and coverage-enhancing algorithm are proposed. The algorithm uses intelligent optimization algorithm to adjust the position of sensor nodes to achieve homogeneous distribution in monitoring area, then calculates redundant nodes. The redundant nodes are moved to blind area so that the whole coverage performance of the wireless sensor network is enhanced.Further, Motivated by the directional sensing feature of wireless multimedia sensor networks, a direction adjustable 3D perception model for three-dimensional ribbon scene is proposed. Coverage and connection problem are analyzed, and a new grid division method is also proposed. By introducing Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, the perceived direction of nodes in three-dimensional space is adjusted so as to achieve directional sensor network coverage enhancement. On this basis, the connectivity of three-dimensional ribbon scene is studied, a new method of moving redundant nodes and constructing minimum spanning tree to ensure network connectivity is proposed. Finally, a set of simulations are performed to demonstrate the correctness of these algorithm.
