Iris recognition is the rise in recent years since the biometric identification technology, has been widely used in many areas of social life, this technology has strong vitality. In this paper, in the existing iris location, feature extraction and iris matching algorithm in-depth study, based on its improvement and innovation, respectively, to improve the recognition rate of iris recognition algorithms and speed up the iris recognition algorithm recognition speed. Iris Location Algorithm for the existing shortcomings, using a location algorithm, using binary and the Freeman chain code positioning algorithm within the boundaries of the inner boundary of the rapid positioning; using Canny edge detector and a circular Hough transform the positioning of the outer boundary. In this paper, using a new feature extraction method-based on 2-D Log-Gabor sub-band image segmentation method, applied this method to make the dimension of the iris signature greatly reduced, and the image with rotation invariance. Calculated using the Hamming distance, with its degree of similarity between the iris to judge, to better match the feature. Validation of improved algorithms, the results show:The iris recognition algorithm improvements in the recognition rate and speed has significantly improved, to achieve the desired effect.
