| Since the 1990's, information technology has been developing rapidly throughout the world. With the development of the modern information and network, the Internet has become the major approach to the information transfer and the most important way for people to obtain and handle the information. It does not only affect people's ways of communication, but also change their learning habits and ways of life. This paper focuses on the background of the senior English autonomous learning website's construction, system structure and application models.This paper consists of six parts. The first part is about the background, analyzing the classification and characteristics of the present English websites, introducing the present situation and problems of the English study in our school. The second explains some conceptions and the characteristics of the senior English autonomous learning website, especially focusing on the academic basis and the significances of establishing the learning space. The structural system and the designing principles are introduced in the third part. And the fourth focuses on the web teaching models and several autonomous learning models. The last part covers the effects of the research and reflections of the construction and application of the learning website.The senior English autonomous learning space provides the students and the teachers with a learning resources website from which one can do an in-depth research on any subjects in web environment and a new way of integrating of information technology and courses. |
