Research On Hospital Patients' Satisfaction Under Background Of Property Rights Reform

With the establishment and growing improvement of Chinese socialist market economic system, health care reform has been became more and more embedded in China, especially after entering WTO, health care market in china has gradually opened up. Therefore, the competition among hospitals became increasingly fierce and the present public hospitals in our country were face severe challenges. In January 2009, "Fours basics and one experiment" was put forward in new health care reform project, in which experiment means to push forward the reforming experiment in public hospital and strive to get remarkable effect in near future. Moreover, the primary issue of the operation and management of public hospital is the reform of property rights system in Suqian City, mainly focuses on privatization of public hospital, which has given rise to controversy in the community.This research is based on advanced foreign theories of satisfaction and Chinese Hospital Patients'Satisfaction Index (CHPSI06), which was constructed by Zhang Huaying in 2006. In meanwhile, it combines the practical situation of Suqian's hospitals, forming a "Chinese Hospital Patients'Stisfaction Assessment Mode" (CHPSI09) for Small and Medium-sized Cities. Moreover, the paper discussed patients'satisfaction about hospital in Suqian after property rights reform.My research used telephone interview as an assistant investigating method for 500 out patients clinics and inpatients in Suqian's urban area, Shuyang and Suining County. What's more, this paper used descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, analysis of variance and structural equation modeling analysis to analyze my data and validate the quality of questionnaires. The result shows that patients'satisfaction is high after hospital's reform. At the same time, By comparing the satisfaction of Shuyang hospitals'patients with Suining's, where the reform haven't been done, the result indicates that property rights reform has a direct positive impact on perceived quality and indirect influence on patients'satisfaction. However, it can not show that the property rights reform has a direct influence on it.The production of this research can be used for diagnosing the service weakness of operations and management for Suqian's hospitals after their reform. Moreover, it not only demonstrates improvement for hospital management and medical services, but also provides theoretical guidance. At the same time, it proposes suggestions for our other public hospitals' property rights reform.
