China and India are the two biggest developing countries in the world. They have the similar situation and experience. At the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s, the economical reform took place in both China and India. Before the reform, two countries applied highly concentrated planning economic system of the former Soviet Union. The development of heavy industry in two countries was paid much attention. China and India helped the development of companies which were of nation's own. Two countries have the same reform background.India and China chose the model of steady approaching. They made mercerization reform in the economic and helped the development of the private economic. They reformed companies of nation's own and started opening to the outside world. These measures were helpful for the development in the economic of two countries. However, the way of the economic reform in two countries had different features. The powerful macro-control policies, developed basis establishment, the increasing ways mainly in traditional manufacture, and reforms from countries to cities and from area experiments to whole country's applying are key factors of the successful reform in China. In India the perfect financial system, highly developed information service, unique education combined with the market, and the vigorous private companies are the key factors of its successful reform.With big achievements of the reform in two countries, there were some problems that could not be ignored in the reform. The problems were in the crisis of the source and environment, the efficiency and impartiality, and the corruption in economic. Particularly in China, there are many concrete problems. There are needs to perfect the financial system reform, enlarge the need at home, and develop the knowledge economic. India was also confronted with some difficult problems in developing, such as the lack of the macro-control, the lagging of basic facilities, and the weak economic abroad.After the comparison research, the economic reform of two countries is thought to have their own features and advantages that can be made up with each other. The experience and lessons of the reform in two countries can be learnt by each other. In future two countries will get faster and better development through close cooperation and make contributions to the development of the world economic.
