Having experienced ten years of writing, British author J. K. Rowling finally completed the series of Harry Potter. The series are composed of seven fantasy novels narrating about seven years of life which the protagonist Harry Potter spent in the magical world. Throughout the whole series of novels, the scar on the forehead of Harry Potter is the key of narrative symbol. The scar'pain which brings the puzzles of his identity is even throughout the whole story. They are the deliberate strengthening parts in the text by the author. With this perspective, we can find out it is virtually a journey of searching for the protagonist's identity which is structured as the adventure in the magical world. And study this journey, we can also find the internal narrative logic of the series of Harry Potter.According to the "scar" as a clue, we can analyze the performance about the process of identity for adolescent children by J. K. Rowling from the two dimensions: other-approval and self-approval. First of all, in the dimension of other-approval, around Harry Potter whether is "hero" or "accomplice", the author created a dense fog of identity elaborately. In the later, via the scar's prediction, the author made the protagonist break the ordinary stereotype of the social identity impression. Secondly, in the dimension of self-identity, the author made further description about dreamland, delusion caused by the scar's pain. By the ways such as experiencing the various identities, searching for self-experience and the determinacy and integrity of identity, the author exhibited the process of obtaining the sense of identity's integrity for adolescent children by their identity activities. Hiding in its temporal corrugation, the series of Harry Potter completed a ceremony which is in search of self-integrity in the splitting phenomenon.Obtain the sense of identity isa just as a huge challenge faced by adolescents. For adolescent readers, the journey of Harry Potter's identity and the frequent successes via the strength of justice in the works both could formally relieve their self-condemnation and self-doubt in the development of innermost beings. Meanwhile, in the form of story, the author provided one manner to solve problems, which were more firmly to protect self-integrity in the crisis of identity, via stick to love, kindness and nature to face the pain bravely in order to grow healthily.
