| The first part of this work focused on evaluation the accelerative properties on vulcanization and environmental performance of rubber accelerator-TBzTD. The results indicate thatthe accelerative properties of TBzTD are comparable with TMTD which is a kind of traditional accelerator and produce carcinogenic nitrosamines during vulcanization reaction. But TBzTD bring less fume during vulcanization, which means it has better environmental performance.Then, to eliminate the dust pollution to the environment, preparation of the pre-dipersing masterbatch base on TBzTD was attemptedby combination of rubber open roll mill, Haake torque rheometer, And the application properties of thus prepared masterbatch were investigated byRubber Proessing Analyse processing, Double Capillaries RH-2000, NMR and other conventional mechanical tests. By comparing the dynamic mechanical properties of vulcanizates contained multiple auxiliaries formula masterbatch or auxiliaries powder, some constructive rules were obtained.In case of open rubber mixing mill, it was found that the addition of EVM in the base-material EPDM can improve the compatibility between TBzTD and base material while adding processing oil can improve processing abilities. The filling quantity can achieve 80% by Haake operation without adding processing oil while the maximum filling amount of common product is only 75%. For open rubber mixing mill, even processing oil is added in, the maximum is only 77%.Rheological results showed that shear viscosity of masterbatch increase with decrease of operating oil content, while increase with increase of the content of EVM, and the content of the agent in the carrier increase the shear viscosity; Processing performance RPA analysis found that with the increase of the content of EVM premix of modulus are increased, howover operating oil is able to reduce muli modulus. The orthogonal design formula results show that multi auxiliaries content increased will also increased the modulus of premix.By comparing the practical applicationproperties of the masterbatch, multivariate masterbatch, and pure powder, it was found that have long scorch time(T10) and short top optimum cure time(T90), besides, using pre-disperse masterbatch formula represents have lower Mooney viscosity(ML1+4) than pure powder formula.Investigation of the crosslinking density and NMR relaxation parameters found that the EPDM rubber contained masterbatch or auxiliary powder have similar physical crosslinking density,and the vulcanizates with multiple additives masterbatch have a lower chemical crosslinking density and general crosslinking density. Dynamic mechanics performance results show that the mixing rubber with multivariate masterbatch have a lower storage modulus(G') and loss modulus(G") than pure powder formula in the same strain and frequency. The temperature scanning for vulcanizates displays with multivariate masterbatch have a lower loss factor tanD than the other mixing rubber when the temperature is below 110℃.It's means rubber mixing with multivariate masterbatch can improve the dynamic thermal properties in its corresponding vulcanizates. |
