Phase-stable system is indispensable in precise phase measurement. Development of various measurement systems put forward higher standards to corresponding Phase-stable system.The research "XX phase controling and stabilizing system" is a part of "XX receiver measurement system". To ensure the consistency and stability of muti-path phase measurement, a rather high standard is put upon the phase controlling and stabilizing system.This work involved in the research of Phase shifter and Phase detector in the system, and chosed proper components, designed models of circuit, finally built experimental system to test and verify the performance of Phase-stabe system.Phase shifter is realized in the form of analog dielectric phase shifter. High e dielectric is introduced into the Transformative Coax Lines to make the phase shift. To achieve high precision of phase shift, we used step impedence conversion of dielectric to meet wide-band impedence matching. VSWR of both two ports is expected to be below 1.2. Precise step servo is used to control the movement of the dielectric, the minimum phase shift step can be less than 3°.Phase detector is realized in AD8302 phase detecting chip. Attenuator in the input channel and well-matched substrate&adapter were added to reduce multi-reflection and enhance the accordance of the two channels.This Phase-stabe system can be widely used in applications of Phase Measurements. Besides, The high resolution, low reflection, low loss, wide band Phase shifter, and the high-precision phase detector in the system, have a bright prospect of application.
