The access speed on data in disk and the transmission time from diskto memory are all along the Performance bottleneck in computer system,although the wheel speed of disk and bus speed have increased greatly,the increase of disk capacity decrease the access speed. Database, Asa high efficiency software that is used in data organizing and management,use the disk all along as the storage medium in the past. Embeddedmain_memory database come into being along with the development ofembedded technique and the increase of memeory capacity. Incommunications field, with development of people's demand, manyoperations appear with short operation data but large operaton number,which ask very high exchange rate, such as mobile note. In the face ofthese new operations and new equipment, embedded main_memeory databasetechnique has a good stage to set out itself.Main_memory database (MMDB) means that the main copy of database(working edition) is in main_memory all the while, so the performanceof system is increased greatly. But all of the database operations accessdirectly on main_memory working edition, database system will break veryeasily because of the OS and applicaton software error. So the recoverytechnique of MMDB, such as log,checkpoint,restart recovery,back upetc, is more complex than disk relation database(DRDB). Focusing on it,this paper firstly discusses the basic theory of MMDB, its definition,itscharacteristic, its development actuality and its feasibility with theexample of short message operation. then it discusses the implement flowand the characteristic in 3G application.
