Iris recognition system has been an active research area in recent years . The biomedical literature suggests that similar to fingerprints, irises posses distinct features for uniquely identifying a person . Furthermore, iris is located on the naked part of human body as to enable the remote examination in the aid of & machine vision system . For this reason , Iris -Identification is regarded as a kind of noninvasive human identification technique . This paper elucidates hi detail the principles and the typical structure of Iris-Identification Systems.Meanwhile , It is important to carry out analysis and match of Ms characteristic in automated iris recognition .The paper discusses the methods of iris location and image enhancement, and proposes a phase matching algorithm to recognize and identify iris. The experimental results show that the method has a high speed and high precision. The recognition results are satisfactory.A personal identification system based on Ms patterns is presented in this paper. Itis composed of Ms image acquisition , image preprocessing ,feature extraction and matching . Iris feature extraction is based on texture analysis using multichannel Gabor filtering and Dubbecbies-4 wavelet transform . Compared with existing methods, our method emplores the rich 2-D information of the iris and is translation, rotation, and scale invariant.Finally, we evaluate the retrieving result. Practicality of the system will be proved through experiments. And the above methods are quite effective.
