Laer-diode-pumped solid-state lasers (DPSL) have been a center of focus in the 馿ld of lasers due to their advantages such as high efficiency, high beam quality and long lifetime. etc. All solid state red laser has shown brod potential applications in color displays. biomedical. and pumping sources for tunable Cr:LiSAF lasers. This dissertation is concerned with experimental and theoretical research on laser diode end pumped CW Nd:YVOILBO intracavity frequency-doubled 67mm laser. We study the experimental and theoretical research on it to qualify the possibility of generating high-power red light from an all-solid-state laser using Nd:YVO, crystal. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:IThe development and the characteristics of DPSL are summarized including the introduce of various laser materials used in this type of lasers. Introduce the development of red solid state lasers.2A theoretical analysis and numerical simulation to calculate the output power are presented. which provide a theoretical guide to optimum design of a DPSL and intracavity frequedncy-doubling.3lntrouduce the physical and nonline characters of LBO crstal. analyse its rioncritically-phase-matched characters.4We have deomnstrated for a hig power LD end-pumped Nd:YVO4LBO intracavity frequency-doubled laser. The thermal effect of laser crystal and LBO crystal is considered. The state regains are designed to get a high output power. O.70-doped Nd:YVO4 cstal. II -type NCPM of LBO crystal is used to ~et the red laser. 582mW of 671nm is achieved, the optic al-optical conversion efficient being 9%.
