| With the development of information technology, image compression technology and network, the network video surveillance system has some Problems to be solved, such as the real-time video acquisition, the video coding, the requirement for the real-time and the quality under the limited bandwidth. Based on the DSP platform, the surveillance technology and in order to construct a video surveillance system the latest video coding standard H.264 are combined in this paper. The main achievements are described as follows:(1) VFW-based multi-channel video acquisition tool was designed, and programming techniques and AVICap window class are used to develop real-time video acquisition;(2) After analyzing the Intra-prediction mode selection algorithm in H.264/AVC standard, This paper proposes a fast intra-prediction mode selection algorithm. Experimental results show that compared with the full searching algorithm, this algorithm can decrease the coding time by 65% while keeping the output video bit rate and PSNR almost unchanged.(3) In order to meet the real-time video transmission in the network video surveillance system, this paper proposed using RTP/RTCP transport protocol for video streaming solutions.(4) The video surveillance system based on the high Performance digital signal Processor TMS32ODM642 is designed according to RF5 which is known as the advanced software. Finally the improved encoding algorithms are transplanted to the DSP chip, and the computational complexity is reduced through cutting the code and optimizing process of the original C code. Experimental results show that the real-time Performance of H.264 encoding can meet the demand in the application. |
