Jade jewelry has been popular for its beautiful color and valuable properties, especially as the economy's improving in recent years, jade jewelry industry unprecedented prosperity. With the jewelry market growing it can be seen everywhere and appeared a lot of fakes, and a large number of manual processed precious stones emerged with the synthesis and optimization technology's increasing. It's very important to find a quick way to identify the authenticity of gems.The text's main content is the Raman spectroscopy database's based and it's identify and study methods. Raman spectrometer is the use of laser and the sample group of atomic or molecular interaction after the vibration characteristics of the absorption spectra of samples to identify the kind of equipment. First of all, the authors used conventional instruments for the gem's judged and acquisition the Raman data, control of a large number of domestic and foreign mineral Raman map out the integration of more than 100 different kinds of mineral Raman pattern of precious stones, precious stones used to build the Raman database.Papers using SQL programming system to create a gem Raman map database. The database is not only a powerful data access storage capacity, but also the interface is simple and easy used. The database gives the basic characteristics of precious stones and identification of the basic functions of the system and features a variety of modules, including the Raman image feature extraction, Raman characteristics of the image storage, data query, compare features and so on, and introduced the system in a variety of functional modules for the detailed design program.This paper attempt to combine the traditional identify methods and new technology, will be based on the experience of the artificial method to identify up to modern instruments based on the analysis of precious stones Raman spectroscopy identify. As the rapid development of informatics and its application in the mineral stones, Raman spectroscopy in the identification of precious stones have made a good prospect. There have little reports about the gem databases at home and abroad, I hoped my experimentation would play the role of the Enlightenment and provide an important way for gem identification field.
