It has been proved that the DOC technology represented by CORBA is the best scheme and the most powerful mechanism in realizing all kinds of new modern enterprise information systems. How to apply Object Oriented Method in designing CORBA distributed system? What about the software engineering of CORBA? These questions are the contents of research in this paper. First, we talk about the current situation and development of enterprise information systems; Then, we discuss some of technologies in detail which include CORBA> UML(Unified Modeling Language) and RUP(Rational Unified Process).We also discuss the questions of how to design the CORBA component and how to design the structure of whole software system. Based on the above researches, we put forward the Process for Distributed Application Development in which integrates the UML and CORBA technologies and discuss the flows of it detailed. Last, a virtual bank e_business system is developed using the approach to demonstrate the integrated development process.
