During the period of Qian Long and Jia Qing, the stduy of tablet was thriving while the study of note was declining. During this period, Tongshu Liang had long enjoyed a good reputation. As one of the representatives of the study in the mid-Qing Dynasty, Liang had explored the the study of note throughout his life and not been affected by it, which was a unique civilized phenomenon in the background of the development of the mid-Qing Dynasty Calligraphy. Liang is one of the Calligraphers that can't be ignored. Thus the investigation of the Calligraphy knowledge of Liang is necessary and significant. The research of Liang's Calligraphy knowledge were mainly based on his writing "Pin Luo An Yi Ji", which covered review of Calligraphy in Volume Nine, handwriting, painting, carving, Calligraphy Steles, preface and postscript of some poems in Volume Ten, Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, and "Bi Shi" in Volume Sixteen. The most important part for the research to Liang's Calligraphy knowledge is the review of Calligraphy in Volume Nine.Liang's Calligraphy knowledge appeared novelty and alternative. He learned the sequence of Calligraphy, imitation, selection of the writing brush, and taken a step up to seek to express his own feelings. His Calligraphy knowledge is a kind of overall and systematic Calligraphy theory. Especially, his idea of focusing on one's own mind and using soft-writing etc. showed strong personality, flexibility and operationality. In Liang's Calligraphy knowledge system, practice was the most important thing. Scilicet, his consideration over metaphysics was built over his practice. His Calligraphy knowledge and practice live together and appeared a combination of knowing and doing.Besides, the comprehension of the predecessor Calligraphers also played an important part in his Calligraphy knowledge system. His final purpose to accomplish by study the predecessor Calligraphers like "Yan, Liu, Mi, Dong" and so on was trying to express his personal feelings, which could be regarded as a emancipation of the study of note that was fettered by "Dong's Calligraphy" at that time.Liang's Calligraphy knowledge was not only a conclusion, inheritance and introspection of the Calligraphy knowledge in the early and mid-Qing Dynasty, but also a concentrated expression of the last systematic of the Qing Dynasty the study of note.I try to invest the essential point of Liang's Calligraphy knowledge through unscrambling, aiming at obtaining its overlap with the study of note of the mid-Qing Dynasty and its contribution to the development of the tie school after the mid-Qing Dynasty.
