This paper analyzes the characteristics of Chinese women's poetry in the New Era from three aspects in relation with its specific historical and social context. The first part reveals that "Women are not what they were born but what they are shaped" from alocal context......the shaping of the women's liberation after the May 4th Movement. Main partspeech is the characteristic of women's poetry. In the feudal society, women used to be dependent on men. After the founding of New China, the idea of "equality between men and women" and "equal work, equal pay" gained women equal social status to men. The popularity of the idea of "women as the main body" awoke women's main body consciousness. The first part also elaborates on the influence of feminism on the forms of poetry and the life consciousness in the creation of women's poetry in the New Era. The apathy of the women's poetry in the New Era towards the political tendency of western women's literature is also revealed. The second part analyzes women's mental process of the creation of women's poetry. It goes through women's awakening to their exploration, and to their banishment. Women developed from human to women, and then to individuals. The third part expounds the unique body language of women. Women created their unique poetic kingdom, using their unique body language. Their body language went into the forbidden zone of language and opened a new world for women. In Summary ,the women's poetry in the New Era, after being individualized, should not confine themselves to their own world. They should not only revolt against the forced shaping of the male-dominated society but also try to build a harmonious bisexual world to brighten up the fate of human being and fully liberate women. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | context, women's poetry, women as main body | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
