Liszt was revered as"the king of piano"by his consummate piano skill, among all his works,the 19 Hungarian rhapsodies were one of the most popular piano works.Regard to Hungarian rhapsody,he said by himself that this is the result of learning national music.Explained by the author,rhapsody meant Patriotic intention, its content was primarily aimed at describing the customs, history and people's lives in Hungary,the materials were all derived from Hungarian folk music and popular songs. From 1839-1847, Liszt went on tour all over the world as a pianist,Even in volatile and bumpy day then,Liszt created a lot of amazing music,of which Hungarian rhapsody wasn't completed then,but it was certainly conceived in this period,because Liszt became interested in popular music more and more then.Hungarian rhapsody,as the most prevailing Transcription,was of importance to interpret better and to grasp the ideological content.Although these works were not as good as the best Liszt works,it was acknowledged that they had the splendid color effect,no matter in Eastern or Western,in different background,people still loved Hungarian Rhapsody, the reason of which could lead to our in-depth thought.
