Different Acupuncture Treatment Of Acute Bell's Palsy Efficacy Observation

Objective Definited curative effect of different acupuncture methods for curing acute stage of Bell's palsy,learnt the methods.Method Use prospective cohort study for clinical experiment,self controlled study, and a collection of 100 scute Bell's palsy patients from Guang anmen Hospital. Based on voluntary principle,100 patients are required to divide into five teams, keeping records of different therapeutic schemes done by related doctors.The specified methods are as follows:Group one is mainly performed by local acupuncture,warming acupuncture and facial quick cupping;Group two is mainly performed by local and distal acupuncture;Group three is mainly performed by local acupuncture,electric aupuncuture and facial quick cupping;Group four is mainly performed by local acupuncture and electric aupuncuture;Group five is mainly performed by shallow needling,suspended moxibustion and facial quick cupping.HB,FDIP,FDIS,Adverse Events and satisfaction of patients are recorded in the early and late stage(1,2,4,6,8 weeks later) of the treatment.Through analyzing the outcomes by SPSS 11.5 statistical analysis software,an evaluation of clinical effect of different therapeutic schemes will be produced in order to find out which is the best option.Result 1.One week after treatment,the first and the third group has a good efficacy to improve the HB,FDIP and FDIS(p＜0.01).Also,the fourth group has a good efficacy to improve the FDIP(p＜0.01).Difference comparison of each group shows that the first group has a better efficacy to improve the HB than other groups(p＜0.01).2.Two weeks after treatment,there is a good efficacy of the first,third, fourth and fifth group in improving the HB,FDIP and FDIS(p＜0.01),(P＜0.05). The second group has a good efficacy in improving the HB(P＜0.05).3.Four weeks after treatment,the first,third and fifth groups also has a good efficacy in improving the HB,FDIP and FDIS(p＜0.01),(P＜0.05).4.Six weeks after treatment,the first,third and fourth groups has a good efficacy to improve the HB,FDIP and FDIS(p＜0.01),(P＜0.05).Also,the fifth group has a good efficacy to improve the HB and FDIP(p＜0.01),(p＜0.05).5.Eight weeks after treatment,the first,third groups has a good efficacy to improve the HB,FDIP and FDIS(p＜0.01).The fifth group has a good efficacy to improve the FDIP and FDIS(p＜0.01).6.The evaluation of safety and patient satisfaction:two exceptional cases of slight fainting during acupuncture,and there are no adverse reactions such as needle viscosity,breakage and clinical infection etc.The first group demonstrates a higher acceptability of its treatment than those of the others.Conclusion It is concluded that acupuncture and moxibustion is a feasible treatment in curing acute stage of Bell's palsy.Each method has shown a better therapeutic effect on Bell's palsy,which is safe and easy to spread.The method of local acupuncture plus warming acupuncture and plus facial quick cupping indicates a rapid and better forward effect,and has a higher lever of patient satisfaction.In addition,comprehensive therapy with acupuncture and moxibustion,facial quick cupping and electro-acupuncture in treating this disease can be better than a simple electro-acupuncture therapy.
