Accessing to the WTO, China has actively integrated into the process of trade liberalization. Trade liberalization is a double-edged sword, brings opportunities'and challenges. Trade liberalization provides China taking full advantage of international markets and capital in the international division of labor, gives us better opportunity playing the comparative advantage in order to reallocate resources to improve China's overall economic gains; Promotes China's market economic system formation; China can take advantage of the rights given by WTO and protect its. industries within the framework of the WTO. It will face much more challenges for China in the process of market opening, for instance the fields of macroeconomic policy management; trade friction, especially in non-market economy countries identified; the challenge of export commodities structure, China's exports are mainly labor-intensive products, leading to worsening terms of trade. In light of these problems, China can implement a managed trade liberalization strategy by changing the mode of economic growth, brand strategy and focus on talent to improve the products' international competitiveness, reduce unnecessary trade frictions, if necessary, we can appeal the WTO dispute settlement mechanism; gradually converging with international rules, transform government functions and give full play the role of market mechanisms, so that China can use a lower cost to obtain the greatest benefits in entering into the trade liberalization process, from a large trade country to a trade power. |
