Manufacturing Enterprises To Implement Six Sigma Critical Success Factors And Empirical Analysis

Six sigma has been one of the main management approaches in today's businessworld. Six sigma do have helped a lot of enterprises gain tremendous profits, the structuralmethod of which shows great advantages. However, the understanding of the successfactors which influence six sigma is fuzzy.The present study on the critical success factors of six sigma implementation inmainly focused on the study of related theories and qualitative analysis. Little attention ispaid to the study of data quantitative analysis and less to the cause and effect amongfactors.This dissertation reviews the present study of critical success factors for six sigmaimplementation, as well as the status quo of enterprises' implementation of six sigma, bothin China and abroad. Then the dissertation advances the conceptual model of successfactors, using for reference the structure of the Malcolm Baldrige National Award and therelated study on the success factors. Afterwards the dissertation builds the structuralequation model on the basis of the conceptual model and makes related hypothesisaccording to the theory. The data of the questionnaires are analyzed, the structural equationmodel are fitted and modified, and consequently the final model comes out by comparison.Besides, the dissertation analyzes the validity and reliability of the final model in detail.According to the LISREL software, this dissertation explains the results of theanalysis, comes to the conclusion—the critical success factors of manufacturingenterprises' implementation of six sigma, and points out the cause and effect among factors.Finally, the results are analyzed and useful suggestions are put forward for enterprises tooptimize their resources, improve the effect of six sigma implementation while avoidingrisks at the same time.
