Both the strength and conductivity of the concrete can be improved by mixing them with short carbon fibers and this kind of function material is said to be the carbon fiber conductive concrete (CFCC).When the CFCC is electrified, it will give out heat. The conductive concrete has a great future in shape self adjustment of great concrete structure, the room-heating and deicing on the roads and bridges in freezing area. The following conclusions have been obtained in this thesis:1) The dispersion of the carbon fibers in the concrete were studied and the best preparation techniques were proposed; the main factors, including the carbon fiber ration, water/cement ratio, the curing age, the water content and the class of the sand, which influence the conductivity of CFCC, were studied.2) The methods which can eliminate the polarization on CFCC were investigated; the stability of the resistance and the electric heating in CFCC were analyzed; the temperature sensibility of CFCC were discussed briefly.3) The electric-heating induced deformation of the concrete beams with CFCC layer were studied. The relationship between the temperature field in the beam and the electric power supply were studied; the heating induced strains were measured with strain gauges and the deflection deformation of the beam was calculated.4) The electric heating on a larger concrete plate embedded with small CFCC blocks were studied and the feasibility of putting them in the application of deicing in freezing area were discussed.
