Based Esupermap Vehicle Navigation System Design And Realization

With the development of economy and advancement of society, traffic and carrying trade is developing quickly. Vehicle Navigation System (VNS) is so becoming an important researth hotspot of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).VNS is an integrated system that uses GIS technology to design the Navigation Electronic Map (NEM), applies GPS technology to locating the vehicle, selects the shortest or fastest driving route, helps the driver to know the vehicle' location, speed, direction and the real time geographic environment etc, aims to arrive the termination quickly and safely, even in unknown conditions and surroundings.VNS is commonly separated from uninfluenced VNS and center-based VNS. In this paper, uninfluenced VNS is researched.First, this article set forthed the VNS' developing actuality home and overseas, described the theory of Global Positioning System (GPS), embeded Geographic Information System (eGIS) and their actions in VNS. Then, it introduced the software of eSuperMap. Next, it designed the functions of the VNS. In the end, it finished the core functions of the VNS.In the system, the designed core functions included of the operations of electronic map, such as zooming in, zooming out, paning, viewing entire, layer manager; the querying of the spacial object and its attribute each other; the real time showing the vehicle location on map, the the shortest and the fastest tracking analyzing; real navigating and simulate navigating and so on.The structure of the system is very clear, so it has definite reference value for farther research of VNS and ITS.In the study, the menus and the program codes of the core functions of the VNS are explained in detail in order others to use for reference, because eGIS developing based eGIS software platform is not only a new thing, but also a new research hotspot these years in GIS field.In the circumstance of foreign GIS software entered and occupied the most of domestic interrelated markets, the article applying eSuperMap to develop VNS is a benefic attempt of using internal independent software platform and a powerful support of flourishing domestic software enterprise.
