As an important weapon of the Navy, Torpedo has demonstrated critical combat functions and deterrence effects in the past numerous sea wars. As the ears and eyes of selfguided torpedo which is moving with high speed under the water, SGS(Self-Guidance System)'s contribution is equal to an intelligent control centers of the selfguided torpedo. It is worthy to construct the simulation of SGS, not only because it is helpful to understand the operational principle of SGS, but also because it has the reference functions to the amelioration of SGS. The target of this paper is to construct the mathematic basis of the SGS's simulation, and to analyze the function modules of SGS.This article synthesize the current theories about SGS, and analyze the function modules of SGS on the basis of analysis and proving. The simulation software of SGS will merge the theory of SGS and visualization technology properly, not only make the simulation result be easy to see and to understand, but also has some practical values in the design of real SGS.The chief work and research results of this article have the following several aspects:1 .Analyze the ocean channel's effects on the work of SGS,then discuss the complex envelope processing method to the narrowband signal and the sample method of the bandpass signal.2.Discuss the operational principle and influence parameters of active and passive SGS separately, and evaluate these two kinds of function distance.3.Analyze the computation and application of SGS's ambiguity function, and discuss the SGS's array signal processing method.4.Discuss the primary theory about SGS's signal detection and evaluation, and analyze the processing method to the common target model.5.Introduce some new technologies which is used in the design of the SGS's simulation software.This simulation software which is designed for one institute as one part of the submarine combat system has passed the check of contract, and now is in use.
