With the increasing maturity of oil and gas development techniques, at the same time with the actual needs of the exploitation process, inclined wells have been widely adopted. Firstly, geometric arrangement of inclined wells can break through the limitations of different geographical conditions. Meanwhile, the target zones can be selected for the purpose of exploitation according to the actual geological conditions. Furthermore, various inclined wells technologies, such as cluster wells, extended reach wells, branch wells and so on, are applied, and thus effectively increase the drainage area of reservoir and individual well recovery. Therefore, the inclined wells technology is paid attention at present.With the increase in the number of adopted inclined wells, coordinated fracturing technology has become an important task. Investigations and researches show that the stimulation effect of most fractured inclined wells is not satisfactory. The main causes are as follows. At first, perforating parameters model are currently not mature enough. Secondly, there are many factors affecting the fracturing effect of inclined wells and the mechanisms are complex. Finally, the optimization process needs to be perfected.In this article, theoretical analyses on stress distribution in the area around well hole and perforation channels are launched. By means of coordinate conversion, circumferential stress state of inclined wells is obtained. Then minimum principal stress direction and connectivity of fractures are calculated. Also, above results are verified by triaxial simulation testing. Based on the recognition of the relationship between perforating effects and fracturing responses, perforating parameters, such as casing perforation type, SPF, bore size and so on, are optimized. Furthermore, a set of steps for optimizing perforation consistent with actual practice are developed. And oriented perforating technology is probed to enhance the effect of hydraulic fracturing. Two field applications have shown that the technology can gain a good effect and thus initially verified the correctness of conclusions.
