Cross-axis, the major part in an automobile universal joint, has big demand in automobile fitting market. If its four sides end surface and center bore processed by the conventional lathe, The efficiency is low and the production cost is high. The Aggregate Machine-tool for Milling and Drilling Process of the Cross-axis (AMMDPC) is designed for completing the work procedure. With the AMMDPC the cross-axis will be processed efficiently and in high quality, and the different type of the cross-axis will be replaced conveniently and quickly. So the AMMDPC can satisfy the enterprise's production and sales, enhances the cross-axis's competitive power.Virtual Prototyping Technology is a digitized design method based on the product's computer simulation model, may cause the product's designer, user and manufacturer direct-viewing and vividly to design optimization, performance test, manufacture simulation and use simulation in the virtual environment in the forepart of the product's design. Generally, the Aggregate Machine-tool is a kind of product which designed and produced only one, its physical prototype is the finished product. Because there have no prototypical trial manufacturing procedure, the physical prototype's defeat will mean the entire development work defeat. Therefore, to use Virtual Prototyping Technology in the Aggregate Machine-tool development has the vital significance of enlightening the design mentality, enhancing design quality, reducing design mistake, speeding up the product development cycle.Firstly, the paper discussed the design mentality how to enhance the Aggregate Machine-tool's flexibility by using the numerical control function part. Secondly, the AMMDPC s parametrization three-dimensional model was built with Unigraphics, and the Modeling Spreadsheet which controlled the model parameter was established to facilitate revising the model parameter. Thirdly, the entire movement simulations were demonstrated in Ugmotion environment, and a logic frame chart of the math model of the motor-driven work table was illustrated in Matlab. With a procedure designed to optimize the...
