| The computer numerical control(CNC) machine,which is the result of modern information technology and traditional machine,is basic and key equipment of the mechanical manufacturing which is the base of whole industry and national economy in developed countries. It is also the core of advanced manufacturing. In order to meet the demand of modern manufacturing,it is necessary to develop new-style CNC machine. This paper describes a open NC-embedded PC architecture CNC system which is developed by graphic programming language LabVIEW and related hardware on Windows 2000.In the aspects of motion, the CNC system has 3-D straight line,arc,helix interpolation function,can work in jog,automatic or electronic gearing mode. Moreover, the client can supervise the CNC system via network in client/server or browser/server model. The supervision includes remote panels monitoring, real-time data communication, image display. This paper firstly analyses the present development status and tendency of CNC technology in the world,mainly relates the Open architecture and network supervision of CNC system. On this foundation,puts forward the overall design project of the system. Afterwards,detailedly introduces PCI-7344 motion controller and development platform—LabVIEW. Then the strategies of multitasking ,real-time processing and network supervision of the CNC system are discussed in turn. Finally,the software design of the CNC system is introduced concretely. First adopting LabVIEW as the software development platform for CNC system,the research not only carry out motion control and network supervision well,but also shorten the system development time greatly. Therefore it is can be inferred that LabVIEW will play more and more important roles in software development of CNC system. |
