| The development of social and economic improves the human pursuit for the quality of life, and the progress of human civilization promotes social care for special groups. As the basic security of wonderful life, health has always been put much focus on. Recently, people gradually realize that fitness exercise is very helpful to improve the health condition of the common and specific people. Therefore, as one of the important tools of fitness exercise, fitness equipment is more popular. The crazy pursue for health and the quality of fitness exercise results in more requirement for the interaction of fitness equipment.The interaction of fitness equipment depends on its human-machine system, and the most important part is the design of the human-machine interface in fitness equipment controller. To meet the common demand of the common and specific people, and to realize that more people have access to fitness equipment and resource of fitness can be used to mostly at the same time, the universal design of the human-machine interface in fitness equipment controller is researched in this task. On the basic of ergonomics, the design of human-machine interface, and the theory of universal design, etc, functional features and using process of fitness equipment are analyzed and designed by the characteristics and requirement of different user groups.The main contents of this thesis include the investigation and analysis for the functions and human-machine interface features of existing multi-function exercise bicycle and electric treadmill. The design of new function system is combine with universal design principle, the research and analysis for the habits and characters of the common and special group in the process of human-machine interaction which can provide foundation for the general design of human-machine interface. The implementation and evaluation research for the universal design results of the fitness equipment’s human-machine interface are completed.The design and evaluation of the function system, display interface and operation interface in the universal design of human-machine interface are mainly completed in this thesis. According to the analysis of the common and special group’s actual requirement, the function system is designed on the basis of market research results of multi-function exercise bicycle and electric treadmill. According to the features of existing fitness equipment display interface, combined with the features of human visual system and visual ability of special groups, the design of display interface is completed. With the analysis for the lack of ability of special groups and the important body parameters of common groups during the use of the different operation, the operation interface is designed combining with the product features of fitness equipment.After the universal design of the human-machine interface, appropriate hardware system is chosen to programming realization. According to the evaluation principles and methods of the design of human-machine interface, the result is used as an example to evaluate the experimental design. Ultimately, the research for the general design of fitness equipment controller’s human-machine interface is achieved. The human-machine interface of fitness equipment designed in this thesis can be used by the common and special group with good conveniences and comfort. |
