This article takes Chinese electronics and information industry as it's research target, and combines the theories of competitiveness into the field of electronics and information industry, formulates the theoretic framework for electronics and information industry on the basis of the diamond model of Michael Porter and makes an explanation on the theoretic meaning of the international competitiveness and characters of electronics and information industry, at the same time, on the basis of theoretic analysis this article formulates the system indexes of electronics and information industry about the international competitiveness, then utilize this system to appraise the competitiveness of China, America, Korea, Japan and so on. The appraisal consequence shows that Chinese electronics and information industry has comparatively advantage in the world, making the fifth in the world. But when china is compared with the other three countries (American, Japan, Korea, Singapore), the competitiveness of electronics and information industry show comparative weakness. Secondly, in the aspects of domestic demand, material of production and capacity of production, china has more competitiveness than the other countries.
