Research On Statistical Methods Of Regional Contribution Of Tourism Basing On TSA

At present, tourism has developed rapidly in the world. There are major limitations of the understanding of the tourism industry which believes the tourism industry only includes travel agents industry in traditional sense, and which of the tourism industry contributed to the national economy are also far from being limited to the contribution of the travel agency industry. While the tourism industry has taken tremendous contribution of the region, it is limited to qualitative understanding, and traditional tourism statistical methods can not provide a way of full assessment of the regional contribution of the tourism industry. Nowadays, a important issue which is need to study and resolve urgently is to establish a tourism statistical indicators system with Chinese characteristics in which the current state of the tourism industry, structural changes and trends in the tourism industry and the impact to the national economy which is given by tourism industry are fully reflected.Firstly, the research object of the thesis is to make clear of the concept of the tourism industry which is defined by the World Tourism Organization and to analyse theoretical framework and methodology of the tourism satellite account which is put forward by the World Tourism Organization. Secondly, it is to design a tourism satellite account of Zhejiang Province in 2004 which is refer to the framework of the World Tourism Organization and is on the base of the tourism satellite account in the developed countries and the diversified statistical data and sample data . Regional contribution of the tourism industry in Zhejiang can be reassessed on the basis of designing the tourism satellite account, and feasible proposals, which are about building the tourism satellite account of our regional and national level, are put forward on the basis of the empirical research. Literature research, case studies and empirical research methods are used in this research.The tourism satellite account has been applied in some provinces of China, but people in most areas are not familiar with new tourism statistical methods. The research of the thesis give in-depth analysis of the tourism satellite account and how it could be applied to practice from the perspective of methodology research and theoretical research ,so the decision support can be provided for the tourism development planning.
