Exploration of mineral resources can affect the surrounding environment quality seriously, as heavy metals can′t be digested naturally, heavy metal deposit has attracted more and more attention. In this paper, water and biology in Qixia Mountain Pb-Zn deposit area were investigated, including water, chook, fish, human blood and hair. Some advanced analysis apparatus such as ICP-MS and ICP-AES were applied to determine main heavy metals, take Pb,Zn,Mn,Cu,Cd,Cr,As,Hg for example; In order to probe into the transfer and transform regularity of some elements in biology body, SRXRF was used to test mirco-area elements intensity in-vivo,then following results were obtained:1. Heavy metals in different extent polluted the discharge waste water from mine concentrator, irrigation water nearest to the mine, landscape water in QiXia Scenic Spot and drinking water near the deposit, Mn, Pb and Zn were main contaminants; However, irrigation and drinking water sampled further from Qixia Mountain has better quality;2. Pb,As,Cd,Hg concentration in Chook and fish bought from mine residents were high, the elements exceeding related standards′values were various in different tissues; Pb tended to accumulate in chicken leg bone, grass carp flesh and bone, crucian carp head tissue and roe, besides that, Cd was easy to concentrate in chicken leg bone and fish roe; Heavy metals were apt to enrich in cock relatively;3. Blood lead poisoning rate of the children and adults were 40.00% and 21.65%;Ten kinds of elements′content(Se,Pb,Fe,Mn,Zn,Cu,Ca,Mg,Sr,C d) in children hair beyond reference values to various degrees, meanwhile children blood level was higher than that of other countries and cities in China;4. Smooth and coarse part in single hair had similar element content and changing range, but generally, coarse hair had higher Ti concentration relatively; The transitional part between the smooth and coarse hair showed different element content changing tendency; The central part of hair transect showed higher Pb but lower Zn concentration phenomenon; Pb tended to accumulate in chicken leg bone joint.In the end, according to the research results of water, soil and vegetable pollution in the deposit region, ecosystem environmental quality of Nanjing Qixia Mountain Pb-Zn deposit area was assessed, then some suggestions about treating and controlling this kind of contamination and protecting human health were put forward.
