| This article is about the mud density on-line detection system research. Mud densitymeasurement occupies important position in the drilling engineering. By analyzing the factorssuch as mud property parameters of mud density detection will have varying degrees of impact,research the impact of these factors change of ultrasonic attenuation characteristics, to improvethe mud density detection precision in practical application to provide a theoretical basis.Aiming at the problem of mud density detection, this topic on the basis of ultrasonicwave propagation theory, the first principle of mud density detection based on ultrasonicattenuation method was studied, and the establishment of the relationship between soundattenuation coefficient and the characteristic parameters of mud. Theoretical study shows.Ultrasonic attenuation coefficient related to mud density, mud viscosity, temperature, the rateof flow, the mud pressure and ultrasonic frequency. Based on the finite element softwareCOMSOL Multiphysics simulation the ultrasonic propagation characteristics in the mudunder different influencing factors, analysis on the change of the ultrasonic attenuation rateunder different parameter condition, and the corresponding curve fitting out, inductiveconclusion, summed up the theory provide theoretical basis for effectively complete ultrasonicmud density detection. Finally designed a set to test the ultrasonic signal propagationcharacteristics in the mud ground simulation experiment system, set up the hardware systemexperimental platform, and carries on the debugging. Under the experimental conditions, theultrasonic echo signal amplitude in different mud density, temperature, pressure, flow rate anddifferent ultrasound frequency measurement.Research shows that: mud characteristic parameters (such as density, viscosity, flowvelocity, pressure and temperature) and intrinsic frequency of the ultrasonic transducer forultrasonic signal transmission has important influence, and the trend of the experimentalresults and simulation results. |
