The existing leaching process of vanadium mainly including the follows:alkaline leaching, acerbic leaching and baking-leaching (including water leaching, alkaline leaching, acerbic leaching), each way has its advantages and disadvantages. According to different materials there must be different process. In China, the mainly used process is the sodium salts baking-water leaching-acerbic dissolving-ammonia sedimentation-and roasting. The disadvantages of this method are that it can produce lots of poisonous gases, and the waste water contains so many salts that it polluted the environment badly. Our research is to bringing forward the process of sulfuric acid leaching-solvent extraction-sedimentation of V2O5with ammonia-roasting to solve these problems. Our work including are as follows:1. Studied the influence of the ratio of liquid/solid, the reaction temperature, the reaction time to the leaching efficiency of the vanadium;2.Studied the condition of concentrating and purifying, including the choice of the extraction solvents and their ratio, the choice of the thinner and its ratio to the extraction solvents, the influence of the solution’s pH to the extracting efficiency, the conditions of the anti-extraction;3. Studied the valence of the vanadium irons, found that the V(IV) is more easily to extract compared the V(V);4. Researched the reducer’s capacity to V(V), their dosage, and their capacity of maintain the deoxidizing atmosphere in the solution;5. Excogitated an easy way to determine V(IV). As the extraction and sedimentation subsequently both need the vanadium to exist as V(IV), but the existing methods are too fussy to be used in industry, so that an easy way to determine V(IV)is needed badly. Therefore, though modifying the method to determine V(V), we excogitated an easy way to determine V(IV).6. Investigated the condition to obtain the high purity products, including the form of the vanadium, the pH and the temperature to precipitate the vanadium, and so on.
