Adopting precursor method throughout the preparation of nanoscale titanium nitride(vanadium) materials, this thesis mainly researched their preparation conditions andelectrochemical performances. During the preparation, the following were maininfluencing factors of the purity and crystallinity of products: the molar ratio of R value ofpresoma (carbamide/titanic chloride), reaction temperature, reaction time (holding time)and solvent. By adopting TG-DTA to characterize the presoma and ascertain the bestthermal treatment temperature and analyzing the synthetic products which are made indifferent conditions with such characterization methods as XRD、SEM and EDS, the moreideal reaction conditions of titanium nitride synthesis were known: the molar ratio of Rvalue of carbamide/titanic chloride is usually4<R<12, reaction temperature of800~900℃is suitable, reaction time (holding time) of3~4hours is reasonable, andsolvent-anhydrous ethanol should be chosen.During electrochemical experiments, the tests-the cyclic voltammetry test, constantcurrent charge discharge test, AC impedance test-on titanium nitride electrode were made.The experimental results indicated that titanium nitride electrode possesses goodcharacteristic of square resistance and little diffusion resistance. It meant that the electrodematerial possesses good super capacitor function but little capacitance. Aiming atenhancing the capacitance of titanium nitride, this thesis probed into the electrochemicalperformances of titanium nitride mixed with a certain proportion of vanadium metal. Theprocesses were as follows: In this paper, we made precursor made use of (TiCl4,V2O5)-urea complexes, used solcent (ethanol) thermal method the reaction under the con-dition of135℃for4h and then put in tubular resistance furnace, which is under nitrogenatmosphere at800℃. Results show that under the conditions above we can get Ti1-XVXNcrystals of high purity and preferable crystal shape.At the same time,we do the experimentof Ti1-XVXN which about the cyclic voltammery,constant current charge discharge test andAC impedance tester. The experimental results showed that vanadium-mixed titaniumnitride possesses good characteristic of square resistance, it has not only goodcharge-discharge characteristic but also higher capacitance than pure titanium nitride charge-discharge characteristic but also higher capacitance than pure titanium nitride electrode.
