With the continuous improvement of the coal mine mechanization and automation level, the position of mine communication technology is becoming more and more important in coal mining production, it has become a necessary means that achieve scientific management, improve labor productivity, prevent accidents disasters and reduce mortality in coal mining enterprises. Therefore, the construction of a smooth, flexible, and reliable underground coal mine communication system is becoming one of the key technologies of modern coal mine construction.Optical fiber communication technology is combined with the mine environment in this paper, the design idea of mining optical fiber communication system based on multiplexing technique is presented, general scheme is planned systematically, and population parameters such as transmission rate of optical signals, operating window and the system scale are determined by the factor such as field requirement, transmission characteristics of the optical fiber, information, transmission distance, etc.. After the comprehensive consideration of system performance, construction cost, working environment, and the determination some conditions that consist of the system, such as parameters of optical terminal, fiber type, light source category, etc. The overall construction of data transmission system based on multiplexing technique is completed, on this basis of the signal transmission mode is planned. we choose NRZ code as the source coding format by a comparison of RZ code and NRZ code, according to the small data quantity, and the difficulty of link management. Furthermore, according to the signal nonlinear characteristics influence on optical transmission, and the improvement of spectral efficiency, we adopt multi-level phase modulation technique in the system, and study the two specific techniques of8DPSK and OQPSK; according to 8DPSK signal with little transmission distortion and a higher capacity of carrying information, while OQPSK is difficult to implement, we determine the signal transmission and modulation scheme based on 8DPSK technique. We also determine the corresponding solution with nonlinear effect appeared in the signal transmission; give the compensation scheme after studying signal distortion which resulted from transmission link; propose protection method of optical fiber transmission system according to the actual working environment in coal mine, to ensure the stability and safety of system operation.The software optisystem7.0 was also used in this article, and that carried out simulation to the overall performance of the system and programs used of the various components of the system designed, which results were consistent with the requirements of the system design goals. Moreover, Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language was used to have a simulation for the transmission of signals code-type in the system and function realization of optical transmitter and receiver interface these issues, etc. The conclusions of this article had guiding significance and practical value for the construction of the mine communication system.
