The wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is current study hotspot in both domestic and international engineering field, and WSNs for structural health monitoring (SHM) is an important branch. For real-time monitoring safety status of civil engineering, avoiding safety accident caused by large structure & equipment damage, instructing maintenance of large structure, creating a system of WSNs is one of the current important study.Synchronous acquisition technology in SHM is necessary, which is basis of global performance or field performance ("interfacial performance" for short) for service structure. Each node acquired will be meaningless without space information and time information. Therefore, synchronous acquisition and node acquired time information is essential for interfacial performance of SHM.In this paper, a system-level proposal of WSNs for SHM is studied and designed. It consists of two parts:hardware platform design and software develop; Base on the system, a time synchronization protocol and synchronous acquisition method is especially studied; The synchronous acquisition method is characterized by start-time program of synchronous acquisition, PIR time separation method and flexible optimization model of time imformation. It is applicable to high frequency acquisition and ensures the accuracy of time information of sample in SHM and the reliability of field performance.
