The Design Of Unstructured Data Management System In E-learning

At the end of the 20th century, the high-speed development of the information technology brought the rapidly development of the education information. In China and abroad higher education, some unprecedented teaching mode and teaching methods was generated. During the 90's of the last century, the virtual college physics experiments system and the following remote teaching system of virtual college physics experiments and the Resource Bank System of Virtual Experiment were designed and implemented, which aroused the transformation of the teaching methods and teaching mode, they also play an important role in personalized education and cultivating innovative talents. In e-learning education system, there are a lot of unstructured data, such as computer-generated report of the experiment, the medium of instruction lessons, spreadsheets, presentations and so on, such information can not be unified by one format, and in the practical application these unstructured files take a lot of manual work to fill or modify information in the windows of the system procedures. How to establish an e-learning unstructured data management system to extract the unstructured information directly and insure the consistency of the file system and database records becomes a serious problem.The file system and database records are usually not consistent and unstructured data information can not be extracted directly in unstructured data management of e-learning teaching system. A method is presented which adds in a file control module and a metadata extraction module based on the management mode of database combined file system. With the file control module unstructured files have the control mechanism of new file or delete file, and the consistency of the file system and database records has achieved. According to the characteristics of metadata and e-learning system's files are word, excel or ppt format as a rule, the metadata extraction module makes metadata extraction templates, unstructured information can be extracted directly through XML language. Manual work is reduced and efficiency is improved.
