With the family electric technology developed rapidly, high-rate wireless personal area networks catch more and more attention. WPANs treat an individual as the communication center and satisfy users' communication demand with others anytime and anywhere, with organizing the surrounding wireless equipments as a self-organization network. WPAN need to have available resources allocation scheme to protect users' QoS and improve channel utilizable ratio because of the channel state varying, while it provides enough high data transmission rate. In our paper, we focus our research on suitable opportunistic scheduling scheme and channel-state-feedback strategy in high-rate WPANs on the background of opportunistic thought. Our main work is as follows.Firstly, we introduce superframe-based IEEE802.15.3 MAC protocol, and analyse its data transmission specialty and the demand of scheduling scheme designing. And then, summarize scheduling scheme and its performance parameter in wireless networks, especially in WPAN. These work will help to scheduling scheme designing.Secondly, based on the research of opportunistic scheduling scheme in high-rate WPANs,our paper presents a applicable opportunistic scheduling algorithm for WPANs. We named it FPTS(Fair Proportional Time Sharing). The algorithm considers the channel state varying and user fairness, which consists of two parameter updating modules and a scheduling decision module. The parameter updating modules updates parameters according to the scheduling results, and protect user fairness and track fast channel variations adaptively; the scheduling decision module is responsible for computing utility values and distributing channel resources proportionally according to utility values. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheduling algorithm can achieve better fairness and channel utilizable efficiency than PTS algorithm under the constraint of high networks throughput. In the end, our paper does some research about channel-state-feedback strategy in networks system. We introduce familiar channel-state-feedback strategy, compare MAC protocol differences between wireless data networks and WPAN, and think out the channel-state-feedback technique in wireless data networks is not suitable to WPAN. We present two applicable channel-state-feedback scheme, CTA-based scheme and space diversity-based channel-state-feedback scheme on the background of IEEE802.15.3 MAC protocol. They pay protocol cost out on getting real time channel feedback information and space parallel links to improve channel resource utilizable efficiency. Our research is based on superframe-structure MAC protocol(TDMA) and is used for reference by WLAN and wireless Ad hoc network.
