A shipborne phased array radar system works in severe application environment, and its own structure is so complex that the system's electric design performance should be reached in prerequisite of limited space and weight. Thus it needs to do dynamics and static analysis of the system's structure with CAE before manufacturing and mounting. The analysis results can be helpful in structure design and improvement. As for the plane phased array radar system, its performance depends on the features of the array antennas directly, especially on the fitting precision and planeness of the radiating array. Therefore, it is significant to research the distortion of the array plane. The radar system's structure is researched in this paper, and an optimal fit-plane arithmetic is presented and perfected to analyze the distortion of the array plane with same magnitude of displacement error in every dimension. First, finite element modeling is research, then the model of the system is prepared and available. Second, dynamics and static analysis in ANSYS of the structure is performed, including modal analysis, harmonic analysis, analysis under gravity load and temperature loads separately. The results are presented separately after every analysis also, the weakest part is found in pins which connect shafts of the pitch part and the antenna part. Third, the distortion of the array plane is dealt with. The results show that the antenna part is imbalance, and that the planeness of the array plane does not meet the performance requirement when it works in the given extreme temperatures. So the weakest pins or the connecting mode of the two shafts should be altered.
