The technology of optical singal processing has become the support of optical communication, and it will play a more important role in the all optical communication network in the future. The optical label switching of the packet transmission network has a great advantage at the network performance, quality of service and cost of network, ect . It is the most efficient and long-term way to solve the problems which are flexibility of network, capability of network and throughput rate. And all optical label signals processing is one of the key technology of optical labels switching. In this paper, label generation, label swapping and label transmission are researched by numerical simulation, theoretical analysis and experiment verification. The results obtained are as follows:1. A novel scheme based on EAM to produce optical label and erase old label are proposed and proved. The label is generated by IM , and the modulation rate is 2.5Gbit/s; the payload is generated by FSK, and the modulation rate is 80Gbit/s. The old label is extracted and erased by EAM in the switching node, and then we insert the new label and realize the payloads all optical transmission. The feasibility of this scheme is proved by simulation and theoretical analysis. This scheme is characteristic of simple structure, easy to realize and suitable for long distance transmission.2. A novel scheme of optical label generation and transmission which based on OFDM signals by experiment is researched. Optical labels of OFDM is more suitable for long distance transmission in the optical label switching network compared with labels generated by OOK. In the experiment, optical carrier suppression is generated and two frequencies are left, one is modulated by OFDM labels with 2.5Gbit/s and the other is modulated by 9.3 Gbit/s payloads, both signals transmit 200Km in fiber. The experimental results show that optical carrier suppression is easy to realize. Without power compensation, the OFDM signals can transmit long distance, and the received signals distortion and loss are both small under the same BER. It means the OFDM labels is more suitable for long distance transmission and it will play a important role in practical application in optical label switching network.
