Research Of Linux System Porting Based On Embedded PC/104

PC/104 has been widely applied to business, industry, traffic, military affairs and so on, although it is said that in these field,PC/104 is a perfect scheme as the leader, PC/104 rarely apply to agricultural engineering field.In order to promoting PC/104's application in agriculture and improve worker's working condition and national agricultural equipment industry's level, choosing research of Linux system porting based on embedded PC/104.In order to building embedded Linux system on PC/104 platform with Xscale processor and subsequent exploitation, integrate PC/104 with advanced Xscale and Linux technology, so that can build a base to PC/104's application in agricultural machine field. The main contents and conclusions as follows:(1)Firstly put forward that replace X86 CPU in PC/104 mainboard by Xscale and used the PC/104 CPU module as target hardware platform which produced by UP-TECH, resolve many problem such as high power wastage and cost,made it match the terrible working environment of PC/104 more to the strict request of the hardware.(2)Through comparing with many embedded bootloader,certain choose blob as system's bootloader which is more special, simpleness code structure.Firstly porting the blob to PC/104 successfully at the base of study blob working principium.(3)Summarized the characteristic of Linux kernel and the new speciality of Linux 2.6 kernel. According to the principle and outline of Linux kernel porting, chose Linux2.6.9, throufh modified the sound code together with make xconfig mode configured Linux kernel to cut and minimize kernel.(4)Compared many mainly file system type of embedded Linux, according to file system's characteristic, chose JFFS2 file system that it is fault tolerant and security much better and creativly use Busybox tool porting file system to PC/104 successfully.(5)Through the above woring practice, building a embedded Linux system on the PC/104 platform successfully,change the past situation that the PC/104 only rely on DOS or Windows,provide one more reasonable and cheap method for constructing PC/104 system,provieded a new way with PC/104'application in agricultural engineering field.The working and study has universal meaning.
