GPR is a non-destructive detection technology with anti-electromagnetic interference ability. So it can be used in all kinds of noisy environment, and has little interference by environmental. At the same time, GPR also has the proper probing depth and resolution in projection. GPR could provide real-time profile records lively whose image are clear and intuitive; additional ,it has many advantages, such as: the use of a portable microcomputer controlling data acquisition, storage and processing, high efficiency, good repeatability and so on. so the application and reach on GPR are having developing rapidly. especially the developing of numerical modal on GPR.In this paper we base on the two rotation Maxwell's equations, firstly, we use center difference replace the Derivative in Maxwell equations ;Then discrete the time and spatial continuous variables using O(2,4) method; Finally, according YEE's special grid modal builds the FDTD numerical modal of GPR in two-dimensional space. And discussed numerical simulation boundary conditions, numerical stability, and the input signal source as well as other key factors of the GPR's modal. The most important, Matlab code that is easily understood and modified to adapt to other complex modal is provided for the FDTD modal in this paper. Here, two simple modal provided. They are reflection GPR in TM mode and cross-hole GPR in TE mode. To analysis the response of GPR when TM wave or TE wave propagate in the ground modal that can be used to invert and explain the subsurface of ground.
