Laser diode-pumped solid-state lasers(DPL) have become a developing focus in the field of lasers due to their advantages, such as high efficiency, good beam quality, long lifetime, compactness, high stability. High-power LD pumped green laser has become the researching emphasis because of its potential application in material processing, isotope separation, etc. Ultraviolet laser has wide applications in industry, medical treatment and basic research, due to its characters of shorter wave, good capability of focusing, high photon energy. In this dissertation, the theoretical and experimental researches about all-solid-state green and ultraviolet pulse laser with high peak power and narrow pulse width have been done.In theory, the principle of Q-switched laser is introduced. From rate equation of Q-switched laser oscillation, parameters of Q-switched laser are obtained, such as the peak power, the pulse energy and the pulse width, etc. The fundamental theory of cavity design. SHG and SFG is illuminated. The characteristics of two laser crystals (Nd:YAG and Nd:YVO4) and nonlinear crystals are introduced and compared. The Nd:YAG crystal is better than the other in this experiment. According to the choosing priciple of nonlinear crystal, KTP crystal as SHG crystal and LBO as SFG crystal is confirmed.Based on the theories above, a set of " LD side-pumped high peak power green pulse laser" and a set of " LD pumped 355nm all solid state narrow pulse width ultraviolet pulse laser" are designed. The former 's average power is 520mW of 532nm and its pulse width is 20ns, at pumped current of 120A with repetition frequency 22Hz.. Its single pulse energy and peak power is 45.444mJ and 2.272MW at 1Hz, respectively. And the later's average power is 102.4mW of 355nm and its pulse width is 12ns, at pumped current of 120A with repetition frequency 22Hz. Its single pulse energy and peak power is 7.341mJ and 0.612MW, respectively. The laser have good pattern.
