Media literacy education comes from England in 1930s, it was much accounted of Occident and other countries. The research of media literacy education grows more and more important. The thesis comes from present hot topic prevalent between domestic and international news and dissemination educational circles such as media literacy education to launch of. As an new exotic hot issue, research of media literacy education in China Mainland is still at a beginning stage currently, still exist not a few shortage which needs an improvement, research space is still big. The research based on this present condition, mai(?)ly adopts literature analysis and qualitative analysis method, beginning with the first Chinese publication worldwide《Cha shi su mei yue tong ji zhuan》1815, to take account of the bud and unconsciousness of media literacy education in our country Mainland from 1815 to 1949.The research introduce should choose the research origin , significance and value, research method and so on. Chapter 1 : Introduced embryonic stage of media literacy education in the modern Chinese publication period. Chapter 2: Introduced the gene of media literacy education from the Reform political reform movement the End of the Qing Dynasty.Chapter 3: Introduced the thought of media literacy education from the New Culture Movement to the eve of 1949. Chapter 4: Introduced the thought and the practice the unconsciousness of media literacy education in the eve of New China established. Chapter 5: Compared to the present theory and research actuality of media literacy education to analyse the significance the localization of the bud and the unconsciousness of media literacy education from 1815 to 1949 in China Mainland.Through the research of the bud and the unconsciousness of media literacy education from 1815 to 1949 in China Mainland, we can find that, compared to the present theory and research actuality of media literacy education, the bud and the unconsciousness media literacy education in China Mainland has large limitation result from being enslaved to the history condition and other reasons which is the main reason that it cannot form the theory system of media literacy education. but the defects cannot obscure the virtues, today's media literacy education also can benefit from the bud and the unconsciousness media literacy education from 1815 to 1949 in China Mainland. I think the main elicitation is that today's media literacy education reseach should be benefit from the practice of media literacy education from the west, and on a base of the tradition culture and the situation of our country, so as to form characteristic in media literacy localization.
