Diabetes is a world-wide and common disease. It has been the third dangerous sicknesses inferior to cardiopathy and cancer. So it is very important to fleetly and exactly determine the concentration of glucose in blood. Glucose biosensor provides a convenient and fast method for concentration determination of glucose in blood and interests more and more people. The construction of glucose biosensor is to immobilize glucose oxidase(GOD) on given electrode by certain carrier and membrane-forming reagent. Conventional carriers used were polymer , fibre , gel or Au, Ag and so on noble metal nanoparticles. They usually reduced the sensitivity of biosensor or they were too expensive to fulfill the detecting request or apply on a large scale. In this article, we used home-made zinc oxide nanoparticles as carrier to immobilize glucose oxidase. Zinc oxide nanoparticles have good biocompatibility as well as large specific surface area and nice catalysis ability, which made glucose oxidase not only commendably immobilize on electrode but keep its activity well. It should be concerned that much had been done on the preparation and character of ZnO and it was not expensive, as accorded with the development trend of biosensors. We first used UV-spectrum and Transmission Electron Microscopy to investigate zinc oxide prepared by reversed micelles. Results showed that we obtained symmetrical and dispersive zinc oxide nanopartilcse. In succession, we utilized cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical workstation to probe into the character of the modificatory enzyme electrode. Harvests attested to a fact that in the preparation of the modificatory enzyme electrode, application of zinc oxide nanoparticles improved stability and sensitivity of glucose oxidase enzyme...
