Diode-pumped passively Q-Switched monolithic microchip laser is a full solid state, which could realize the output laser on the level of the extremely short pulse width, high peak power , and pulse repetition rate of the magnitude of KHz.Diode pumped solid-state laser is of great interests due its high-efficiency,long-lifetime,compact size and high-stability.A laser diode(LD) end-pumped Cr4+:Nd3+: YAG co-doped microchip laser with 1.9mm cavity length is developed,which can achieve very stable output pulse sequences with 3.25ns-width, almost 22mW average power and 2.6KHz repetition rate.The temperature of the LD and microchip be controlled.Theoretical analysis is given out and an expression for pump threshold-power is derived.The calculated are in a good accordance with experimental data. |
