The Media Literacy And The Contemporary Minors' Socialization

The present age, along with the mass media's swift development, the pseudo environment is acting a more and more important role in human's socialization, especially to the minors. Now the minors are in the initial period of the socialization, but because their physiogenesis are not perfect, their mental mechanism are not mature, they are often difficult to make the correct choice and judgment in the contemporary complex pseudo environment when they are in the face of a lot of information, which resulting to they deviate from the predetermine target of socialization probably.This paper starts from the relation between the pseudo environment and human's socialization, combines concrete cruising data with typical cases, and on the basis of analyzing the influence of the contemporary pseudo environment on the minors' socialization from positive aspect and negative aspect, this paper draws a conclusion that media literacy is a kind of important quality which the contemporary minors should have in order to complete the socialization smoothly under the new pseudo environment;and on the basis of an exposition of some basic questions such as the definition and function of media literacy, this paper proposes an important way to cause the minors to have good media literacy and complete the socialization smoothly, namely media literacy education;then after introduces the definition of media literacy education, the history and present situation of media literacy education, this paper probes into the concrete method of the implementation of media literacy education, considering the minors' psychological characteristics.This paper's train of theoretical thought focuses on " three relations" :First, relates the pseudo environment to human's socialization, researching the role and function of the pseudo environment in human's socialization, and exploring the new changes of the contemporary pseudo environment, this paper tries to know the influence of the contemporary pseudo environment on the minors' socialization more comprehensively, systematiclly and profoundly, so projects the research's practical basis and significance;Second, relates the media literacy to the contemporaryminors' socialization, and scans them in "pseudo environment-media literacy-media literacy education" such a big logical system, this paper tries to see the cause and effect of the relation between the media literacy and the minors' socialization well;Third, relates the media literacy education to the contemporary minors' psychological characteristics, and researches them under an interdisciplinary background of the crossing and inosculation with some correlative theories and multiple angles of psychology , sociology and communication, this paper tries to avoid the one-sidedness of researching from a single discipline or angle, and the cognitional insufficiency of the characteristics of the minors' media literacy education in former times, so this paper highlights the particularity of the minors' media literacy education and the pertinency and validity of its implementary measures.
